The use of retaining compounds helps to produce the most reliable bearing assemblies. Designers and technicians can ensure superior bearing durability while avoiding additional machining by using high viscosity Solution 22 Bearing retaining compound.

Solution 22 ranks among the industry’s toughest and most resilient compounds, evenly distributing stress to allow for maximum load capacities. It retains bearings, collars, bushings, and gears with extraordinary strength and in the hottest conditions, resisting temperatures up to 450°F. This compound also meets or exceeds stringent standards for the most demanding industries, including MIL-R-4B082B Type II.

Choosing the best retaining compound relies on numerous factors, the most important of which is the size of the gaps. High viscosity Solution 22 fills gaps of 0.015” and has a fixture time of 10-15 minutes, a working time of two hours, and a full strength time of 24 hours. It is available in different volumes to match the specific job, including 10 ml, 50 ml, and 250 ml for large scale projects.
