The complete assembly comes in halves to ease the installation, inspection, and replacement of pillow block bearings, which can be done without removing or disrupting other elements of the system.

The external self-aligning cartridges and housings are machined from ductile iron for greater tensile and yield strength, and the coating is baked on instead of painted for greater resistance against elements and chemicals. In addition, all materials meet or exceed the standards set by the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA).
