Rod ends and spherical bushings are used for linkage applications where a bearing has to accommodate severe misalignment. They are available with self lubricating or metal to metal inserts. Inch and metric. Standard rod ends have right hand threads although left hand threads are available as an option.
Emerson’s complete line of heavy duty metric rod ends provides maximum durability and reliability — especially for shock load applications. We offer four different series, each capable of carrying medium to heavy loads at speeds ranging from moderate to high levels.
Our diverse series provide options for male and female rod ends with integral spherical plain bearings and integral self-aligning ball bearings, including:
· BEM Series — These male thread rod ends are designed with integral plain bearings and are available in right and left hand threads. They range in size from 5mm by 33mm to 30 mm by 110 mm.
· BEF Series — Our female counterparts to the BEM series also feature integral spherical plain bearings as well as right and left hand threads. Their dimensions range from 5 mm by 27 mm to 12 mm by 50 mm.
· BRM Series — The BRM series are male thread rod ends that accommodate self-aligning ball bearings. Right and left hand thread options are available, with sizes ranging from 6 mm by 36 mm to 30 mm by 110 mm.
· BRF Series — These rod ends are the female version of the BRM series and are designed with integral self-aligning ball bearings. Options for right and left hand threads include dimensions from 6 mm by 30 mm to 30 mm by 110 mm. These heat-treated, phosphate-coated, alloy steel spherical plain bearings are ideal for material handling and construction applications. They can be used to accommodate shifting heavy loads, shock loads, and heavy static loads. The outer ring is fractured in a single location to allow for the placement of an inner ring, and lubricating holes and grooves are located on inner and outer races. The alloy steel races are heat treated and phosphate coated.
