BEARING RETAINING COMPOUND - LOW VISCOSITY - GREEN - General purpose high strength compound for retaining bearings, bushings, collars, keys and splines. Gap filling capability to .005" allows for use of slip fits instead of press fits. Meets MIL-R-4B082B TYPE I.
The use of retaining compounds helps to produce the most reliable bearing assemblies. Designers and technicians can ensure superior bearing durability while avoiding additional machining by using high viscosity Solution 22 Bearing retaining compound.
Solution 22 ranks among the industry’s toughest and most resilient compounds, evenly distributing stress to allow for maximum load capacities. It retains bearings, collars, bushings, and gears with extraordinary strength and in the hottest conditions, resisting temperatures up to 450°F. This compound also meets or exceeds stringent standards for the most demanding industries, including MIL-R-4B082B Type II.
Choosing the best retaining compound relies on numerous factors, the most important of which is the size of the gaps. High viscosity Solution 22 fills gaps of 0.015” and has a fixture time of 10-15 minutes, a working time of two hours, and a full strength time of 24 hours. It is available in different volumes to match the specific job, including 10 ml, 50 ml, and 250 ml for large scale projects.

PTFE (commonly known as Teflon) enhances sealant effectiveness and flexibility. Emerson’s Solution 30 seals instantly but cures slowly, allowing pipe fitters to make any necessary adjustments to the system while keeping the seal intact. After full curing, PTFE seals offer excellent resistance to temperatures, vibration, and pressure.
Solution 30 Pipe Sealant is a non-migrating, low-strength paste designed for tapered threads, filling gaps up to 0.015” and featuring a viscosity of 350,000 cP. It provides exceptional sealing in gas and fluid pressurized pipe settings, with a fixture time of 20 to 30 minutes and maximum strength after 24 hours. Fully cured Teflon seals can withstand temperatures up to 400°F and pressures up to 10,000 psi. Soluble in Acetone and MEK, this sealant allows disassembly with hand tools when necessary.
We offer Solution 30 in two volumes: 50ml and 250ml. For further information about this compound or any of our other adhesives, aerosols, or sealants, contact us directly.
Customers looking for high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic system sealing solutions need the most versatile and high-quality solutions available. Solution 34 Hydraulic/Pneumatic Sealant from Emerson is an excellent option, providing lower strength sealing and locking for all metal fittings.
Offering optimal flexibility, Solution 34 is fully compatible with gases, oils, solvents, and five hydraulic fluids. Reliable and free of fillers, this compound fills gaps to 0.015” and is available in volumes of 10ml, 50ml, and 250ml. The no-drip compound prevents vibrations with its high viscosity, measured at 9,000 to 20,000 cP for ASTM 1084 and 1824. Featuring a fixture time of 25 to 35 minutes and full strength after 24 hours, Solution 34 is soluble in Acetone and MEK.
